Project Description
Omaui Camp has hosted school and family groups in a unique location south of Invercargill for generations. The future of the camp is at a cross roads, with mounting maintenance and renewal challenges and changes in types of use. RSL was commissioned to complete a review of the YMCA's Omaui Camp, and outline future options for management or ownership of this camp.
RSL's Role
Assess current facility use and condition, understand customer experience and propose options for the future of the camp.
Project Outcome
Through stakeholder engagement it became clear there may be opportunities to partner with other camp providers in the region, or other potentially unknown other potential partners. Progressing an expression of interest process was proposed to inform future options, with aligned process oversight from Active Southland.
