Lancaster Park: Then and Now

Really enjoyed checking out the re-developed Lancaster Park in the weekend as part of a work field trip (by bike of course). Having worked on the spatial plan a few years ago, it was pleasing to see the sports fields have been developed and in use. A wide walkway circumnavigates the park. We reflected on the layers of history at this site. So many activities have occurred there; many acknowledged through interpretive boards located by the memorial gates. if you look closely at the 1st photo (zoom in) you'll see the new stadium development in the background. Can't wait! Also rewarding to view the local neighbourhood houses that had a large concrete wall as a view for many years, finally getting to look out over green space. Looking forward to watching this park evolve as more development occurs over time.
