Blake Park Future State Report

In 2021 Tauranga City Council commissioned RSL to provide high level options for the future state of Blake Park, a significant sporting hub site for Tauranga City which is under significant demand pressures.

RSL worked in partnership with Council staff and Sport BOP to facilitate co-design workshops with park users to develop a set of principles and values for the park, and ultimately establish the desired future state of the park. The resulting report provided a suite of recommendations that would transition the Park from the current state to the desired future state.  The key recommendation was that Council should commence development of a Master Plan for Blake Park.

Following on from the Future State Report, TCC engaged RSLin partnership with Boffa Miskell to develop a Master Plan for Blake Park. In conjunciton with other City Reserve Master Plans The Blake Park  Master Plan provides strategic planning direction, to inform key strateigc changes in the city’s sport and recreation network.
